This is our first year at Olde Mill Stream RV Resort and
will not be our last. We spent two weeks last year at
OMS and found the staff and residents to be very
friendly and helpful. Little did we realize just how
friendly and helpful they would be. Four days after we
arrived at the resort I came down with a disease called
Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I lost the use of my legs and
could not walk. I spent several weeks in the hospital
and while there, I received cards from people in the
resort, whom I did not know, wishing me well. Also,
several people from the resort and resort chaplain
visited me during my stay in the hospital. The visits
and thoughts from the cards sure helped the days go by a
lot better. Several people built a ramp to our fifth
wheel so I could get a wheel chair to and from the fifth
wheel. Since the fifth wheel has steps to the shower,
the resort made a personal shower available for my use.
The resort staff has changed our propane tanks when
empty and have responded to our every need and wish.
Several of our neighbors have even brought food and hot
dishes. These neighbors have pushed my wheelchair to
the various resort functions so I could be able to
attend. The resort residents are always asking how I am
doing, saying I am in their prayers, and asking is there
anything they can do.
We can't express our gratitude to the resort and it's
residents for their friendship and help. I remember
seeing a movie where at the end a photographer was
taking a picture of a group and asked, "Are you all
friends?" and they answered, "No! We're family"
Thanks Olde Mill Stream and the residents for making us a
part of your "family".

This RV resort is
by far one of the very best we've been to in our 10+ years of traveling all over
the US and Canada. Everything is extremely well-kept, clean, and
resident-oriented with lots of fun activities for both the permanent winter
"snowbirds" as well as the short stay travelers. The staff is friendly,
kind, and helpful beyond expectations. We especially enjoyed
the quiet, small town location of this park, yet close enough to larger cities
to visit on a day trip.
We highly recommend the Olde Mill Stream RV Resort -
we'll be back for sure......

People come to stay at Olde Mill
Stream RV Resort. The appeal is the sense of
community that prevails. This is our winter
home and the residents have become our extended
family. We came to OMS in 1996, stayed
seasonally until we became permanent residents of
The Villa’s, an adjunct of the Resort, and as such
we fully participate in all activities associated
with the park.
A full range of activities keeps people as busy as
they choose to be, they run from bingo and dancing to a
non-denominational chuch, volunteerism and charity work.

The Villas
We discovered the Olde Mill Stream RV Resort five
years ago while driving from
Ocala
to
Mount
Dora
to visit friends. Even from the highway, it
caught our attention. The next time we drove by, we
decided to stop and were given a tour of the Park by one of
the friendly staff. Living by a river up north, the
pool and the view of the lake was perfect for us.
Needless to say, we were very impressed and made plans
to move here from
Ocala
. We have enjoyed our time here and would
highly recommend The Olde Mill Stream as the best park in
the area.

We are spending our winter at Olde Mill Stream RV
Resort and having a wonderful time. We enjoy all the
activities, dancing, pot luck dinners, cards, bingo just to
mention a few that we have done. You can sit in the
card room that overlooks a kidney shaped pool by the
beautiful
Lake
Pearl
and enjoy a sunset. People here are very
friendly and welcome you whether you have been here for
years or new to the park as we are.
Some of the other benefits is the separate Rally area
and the pet run for those of us that enjoy our pets.
There are many other benefits, too numerous to mention.
The lots are large and offer a concrete patio that you can
add your own person touch, if you desire. The monthly
meeting offered by management are both informative and serve
to keep the people up-to-date on all events and rules.
We wish to thank all of the Staff at Olde Mill Stream
for going above and beyond what is expected to make us feel
at home. We hope to spend many winters in our new
home.
